Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic is seeking an experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team and provide dedicated support for surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technician who wants to fully utilize their skillset with autonomy, trust, and support in a fast-paced, collaborative general practice environment. From induction through recovery, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, high-quality patient care alongside a veterinary team that values skilled technicians.
In this position, you will take an active role in:
- Coordinating surgical and dental procedure schedules
- Calculating and preparing anesthetic medications and drug dosages
- Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients
- Assisting veterinarians during surgical procedures
- Performing dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Training and mentoring team members
- Guiding clients through patient admission and discharge with confidence and compassion
Schedule and compensation:
- Compensation: $22-27 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a flexible position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday, no weekends!

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Technician in the state of Washington**
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Training
- Inventory management
- Monitoring hospital flow
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
- Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
- Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques
- Client education and communication
- Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
