Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Personal Injury law to join our dedicated legal team. Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury claims from inception through resolution, including pre-litigation negotiations and court proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and opposing counsel.
- Interview clients, witnesses, and experts to gather pertinent information for case development.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Prepare cases for trial by organizing evidence, developing litigation strategies, and collaborating with expert witnesses when necessary.
- Stay current on relevant laws including personal injury law, workers' compensation law, family law, landlord-tenant law, environmental law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, immigration law, estate planning, patent law, and others as applicable.
- Maintain meticulous records of case progress and communicate regularly with clients regarding case updates.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
- Prior experience in personal injury law or related litigation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents.
- Experience in negotiation tactics and client advocacy is advantageous.
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes within a law office environment.
- Knowledge of diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, tribal law & regulations, securities law, workers' compensation law, patent law, family law, landlord-tenant law, and litigation enhances versatility. Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
