Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in various framing techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working with a variety of materials and tools to construct, repair, and remodel structures according to blueprints and specifications. The Framer will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of the building process.
Responsibilities
- Construct frameworks for buildings using metal studs, wood, and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project specifications.
- Perform metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, and concrete finishing as required.
- Execute carpentry tasks including frame carpentry, trim carpentry, and roofing.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when necessary for site operations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site including masons, welders, and restoration specialists.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist in remodeling projects including siding installation and plastering.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on framing techniques.
- Strong knowledge of metal stud framing, heavy lifting practices, and construction management.
- Familiarity with masonry work, welding processes, and heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Experience in restoration projects is advantageous.
- Excellent physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
