Overview
The Lead Install Tech I at Total Environmental Management, Inc. (TEM) is a working field leader responsible for coordinating installation crews and executing temporary HVAC installations and teardowns safely, efficiently, and to TEM quality standards.
This role leads technicians in the field while actively participating in installations. Responsibilities include identifying customer system points of connection, coordinating equipment setup, performing electrical power tie-ins when required, and ensuring all installation procedures follow TEM safety standards and best practices.
The Lead Install Tech I works closely with the Install Supervisor, Project Managers, and Sales team to execute projects according to job packages and job walk requirements. The position is highly field-focused and requires strong mechanical aptitude, leadership ability, and safety awareness.
Duties
- ead and support installation crews on temporary HVAC projects.
- Coordinate daily jobsite activities, labor, and equipment.
- Perform and oversee installation and teardown of temporary HVAC systems.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to TEM quality standards.
- Maintain communication with customers, project teams, and supervisors.
- Mentor and train Install Technicians while promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications/Experience:
Requires: Three (3) years’ experience in leading small crews on installation or construction projects, and the utilization of hand and power tools.
Prefer: Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience.
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:
Required:
Valid California class “A” Driver’s License (or obtainable within 90 days)
OSHA 30 General Construction Certificate (or obtainable within 90 days)

Pay: $32.00 - $36.00 per hour
