Position Summary
Seaview Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Auto Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster to join our growing Claims organization.

What You'll Do
Investigate & Evaluate Claims
- Investigate moderate to complex automobile bodily injury claims involving both attorney-represented and unrepresented claimants.
- Review police reports, recorded statements, medical records, photographs, expert reports, and other evidence.
- Determine liability, evaluate damages, analyze comparative negligence, and identify applicable insurance coverage.
- Recognize fraud indicators and other claim concerns requiring additional investigation.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic claim documentation.
Negotiate & Resolve Claims
- Evaluate bodily injury claims using medical documentation, legal principles, claim facts, and company guidelines.
- Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves.
- Develop claim strategies that promote timely, fair, and cost-effective claim resolution.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and insurance carriers.
- Coordinate litigation referrals and partner with defense counsel on litigated claims when appropriate.
Deliver Exceptional Customer Service
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with policyholders, claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and business partners.
- Keep customers informed throughout the life of the claim.
- Handle difficult conversations with confidence, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Build trust through responsive communication and exceptional claim handling.
Collaborate & Grow
- Partner with Claims Leadership on complex claim issues and settlement strategies.
- Participate in training, coaching, and continuing professional development.
- Share knowledge and best practices with teammates.
- Support initiatives that improve quality, efficiency, compliance, and the customer experience.
- Utilize technology and innovative tools to improve claim handling and operational effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of insurance carrier experience handling Auto Bodily Injury Claims.
- Experience handling attorney-represented bodily injury claims.
- Strong knowledge of automobile liability investigations, bodily injury evaluation, coverage analysis, and claim negotiation.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Multi-state claims handling experience.
- Litigation management experience.
- Experience with comparative negligence and complex liability investigations.
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus.

Compensation

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
