About Us
Evergreen Ring Splints is a handmade medical jewelry business based in Marysville, WA. We make wire-wrapped ring splints that support and stabilize finger joints for people with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), hypermobility, arthritis, and similar hand and finger conditions. Our pieces are functional medical aids that look like jewelry, and they help our customers use their hands with more comfort and confidence every day.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced artisan to join our small production team at our home office in Marysville, WA. You will hand-make custom, made-to-order ring splints in sterling silver, 14K gold-filled, and rose gold-filled wire. This is hands-on, detail-driven craft work where quality and consistency matter.
This is a perfect opportunity for an early-career artist.
You will start with a short paid training period. We provide the tools and silver-plated practice wire for you to take home and practice making our designs. After a couple of weeks of building up consistency and quality on our patterns, you will move into fulfilling live customer orders.
Responsibilities
- Hand make various wire-wrapped ring splint designs
- Harden and shape sterling silver and gold wire
- Hammer wire for texture
- Dremel, file, and finish rings
- Polish finished pieces
- Package completed orders for shipping
- Maintain consistent quality across many different designs
Qualifications
- Proven experience with wire-wrapped jewelry (required). We will ask to see samples of your work.
- Strong fine-motor precision and attention to detail
- Comfortable using hand tools such as a Dremel, files, hammers, and pliers
- Reliability and consistency in producing our designs
- Ability to work onsite at our Pet-Friendly Marysville home office (must not be allergic to cats or dogs)
- Ability to maintain a clean workspace
Experience with medical or adaptive jewelry is a plus but not required. We will train the right artisan on our specific splint designs and process.
