We are seeking dependable individuals to perform light-duty roadside assistance services throughout the Jacksonville area.
Previous roadside assistance experience is not required for every service. Training resources and equipment options are available for qualified applicants.
Applicants with automotive knowledge, delivery or gig-work experience, mechanical ability, or strong customer-service skills are encouraged to apply.
Position Overview
Roadside Assistance Technicians respond to motorists who need basic vehicle assistance at their location.
This is a mobile, independent contractor opportunity. You use your own reliable vehicle and determine when you are available to accept service requests.
Depending on your qualifications and equipment, services may include:
- Battery jump starts
- Flat-tire assistance
- Emergency fuel delivery
- Vehicle lockout assistance
- Battery-related assistance
- Other eligible light-duty roadside services
You only accept services that you are trained, qualified, and equipped to perform.
Training Available
New to roadside assistance?
Training resources and instructional materials are available for qualified applicants who want to learn eligible roadside services and proper service procedures.
This makes the opportunity accessible to individuals with basic automotive or mechanical knowledge who may not have previous professional roadside experience.
Tools and Equipment Available
You do not necessarily need to own a complete roadside service setup before applying.
Tools and equipment options are available for qualified contractors who need to build or expand their service equipment.
Applicants can discuss their current experience and equipment during onboarding.
Flexible Schedule
Contractors determine their own availability and select service requests that fit their schedule, location, qualifications, and equipment.
There are no required shifts or minimum hours.
This opportunity may work well alongside other independent work, automotive work, delivery work, or an existing service business.
