Responsibilities
- Operate CDL Class A trucks for over-the-road (OTR) deliveries, adhering to DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation, manage delivery schedules, and maintain timely communication with dispatch.
- Handle loading and unloading tasks, including manual handling and, when required, forklift operations; ensure proper freight securing and documentation.
- Monitor vehicle condition, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records for deliveries, fuel, and maintenance; comply with hazmat and freight handling requirements as applicable.
