Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, agricultural equipment, and related systems. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Pay is negotiable and based upon experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and agricultural equipment ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Perform routine maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment, including oil changes, brake repairs, air brake inspections, and general maintenance.
- Utilize power tools and equipment to align components and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel and agricultural equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Experience
- 3+ years proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or relevant in-field training required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, particularly with diesel engines and agricultural equipment.
- Familiarity with power tools, hydraulic systems, brake repair techniques, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues effectively and efficiently.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest industry practices.
- A CDL is preferred but not required
