The Warehouse / Delivery Driver is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations and safely delivering products to customers and company locations. This role includes receiving and organizing inventory, picking and preparing orders, loading and unloading materials, completing deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. The Warehouse / Delivery Driver maintains a safe, organized work environment and ensures all deliveries are completed accurately, professionally, and on time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, unload, label, and store incoming inventory
- Pick, pack, wrap, label, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory records and complete inventory transactions and logs
- Perform inventory counts and quality control checks to support audits
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or other issues to management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse while maximizing storage space
- Operate warehouse equipment and machinery, including forklifts, as needed
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure efficient workflow
Delivery Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and deliver products to customers and company locations according to established schedules
- Verify orders before departure and upon delivery to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation accurately
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the delivery vehicle
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while complying with all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and vehicle weight limits
- Conduct daily transfers between company locations as assigned
- Ensure products are unloaded safely and placed neatly at the delivery site as directed on the pick ticket
- Maintain responsibility for job site safety during deliveries
- Provide courteous, professional customer service by answering questions and resolving routine customer concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse, delivery, or distribution experience preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL and valid Medical Examiner's Certificate preferred
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified preferred
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory or warehouse management systems
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to meet business needs
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles and warehouse equipment
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, move, and handle materials weighing 50 pounds or more
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, delivery vehicles, and forklifts (when certified and authorized)
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
