Position: Showroom Sales Associate
Location: Hilton Head Island, SC
Full-Time/Part-Time
Do you have a passion for design, furniture, and helping clients create beautiful spaces? Palmetto Upholstery is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and motivated Showroom Sales Associate to join our team.
This is a client-facing role focused on working directly with customers, helping organize their projects, and guiding them through fabric and material selections. If you enjoy working with people, have an eye for style, and love learning about furniture and design, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As the face of our showroom, you'll help clients bring their vision to life by guiding them through fabric selections, furniture options, and project coordination.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome and assist clients in our showroom
- Work one-on-one with customers to understand their project needs
- Help organize and manage client projects from start to finish
- Guide customers through fabric, leather, trim, and material selections
- Learn and explain different types of furniture, fabrics, and finishes
- Communicate with clients in person, by phone, and by email
- Schedule appointments and help keep projects on track
- Maintain an organized, welcoming, and inspiring showroom
- Support the team with general client service and sales tasks as needed
- Maintain showroom appearance by ensuring displays are organized, materials are neatly presented, and the space is welcoming.

- Is friendly, outgoing, and enjoys working with people
- Loves design, furniture, and helping clients make selections
- Has strong customer service and communication skills
- Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Learns quickly and is comfortable asking questions
- Has prior experience in a hospitality setting or customer service role
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior knowledge of interior design or decorating is a bonus
- Experience in furniture sales, showroom sales, or home furnishings is helpful
- Familiarity with fabrics, furniture construction, and design styles is a plus
- Experience working with high-touch clients or project coordination is beneficial
