Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist (CMA and Lab Technician) in our busy, multi-specialty medical clinic in Watsonville. Ideal candidate will have passed the Medical Assistant Certification Exam, and should have at least 50 lab draws of experience in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting. Part time/Full time. Monday- Friday; occasional Saturdays. Must be able to start at 7:45am. Bilingual English/ Spanish.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Greet and room patients
- Establish reason for patient visit
- Measure and record vital signs
- Work scheduled shifts in lab as phlebotomist
- Enter data into EHR
- Communicate with providers and front office staff
- Assist providers with running on schedule
- Sanitize exam rooms
- Send prescriptions to pharmacy
- Review and sort faxes
- Schedule follow up appointments
- Phone calls to Chronic Care patients
Job qualifications Include:
- 1 year+ Medical Assistant experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (M.A. Exam Certification Required)
- Excellent Phlebotomy skills
- Previous Phlebotomist (Lab Technician) experience
- Experience and Record of at least 50 lab draws
- EHR/EMR familiarity
- Strong communication skills
