Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at the Mobile Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Mobile, AL. As a key member of our therapy department, you will work closely with our licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our center.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatments, and progress assessments
Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist, utilizing various techniques and modalities
Monitor and report patient progress to therapists and other healthcare team members
Develop and maintain a rapport with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure a positive and supportive environment
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Studies or related field
Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education
Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the state of Alabama
Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
