The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary operational partner to the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administration of Human Resources programs and services. This position plays a key role in talent acquisition, onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, benefits support, HRIS administration, employee engagement activities, and employee offboarding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Employee Onboarding & First-Year Experience

Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, orientation, and assimilation activities.

Serve as a primary HR resource for employees throughout their first year of employment.

Partner with supervisors to support employee engagement, retention, and successful transitions into the organization.
Talent Acquisition & Staffing Support

Coordinate recruiting activities, applicant tracking, and candidate communications.

Conduct background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment screenings.

Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment, selection, and onboarding process.
HR Operations & Administration

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files.

Process employment changes and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR procedures.

Conduct periodic audits and prepare HR reports, metrics, and other documentation.
Benefits Administration

Assist with employee benefits administration, enrollment activities, and benefit communications

Serve as a resource for routine employee benefit questions.

Support annual open enrollment and ongoing benefits-related processes.
Employee Offboarding & Transitions

Coordinate employee separation and offboarding activities.

Conduct exit interviews and prepare turnover reporting and trend analysis.

Ensure completion of separation documentation, notifications, and record retention requirements.
Department Support

Provide administrative and operational support to the Director of Human Resources.

Support administration of HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with HR projects and department initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Three to five years of progressive Business or Human Resources experience.
Preferred
-
SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.

Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration platforms.
