Position Summary
Professional Therapy Partners is seeking certified and licensed Athletic Trainers to provide comprehensive sports medicine services to middle and high school student-athletes across New Mexico. This is a full-time, 12-month position dedicated to elevating education and sport safety in regional and rural communities. Clinicians in this role will work closely with schools to deliver standard-of-care prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide prevention, evaluation, care, and rehabilitation services for middle and high school student-athletes.
- Develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with coaches, parents, and school administrators.
- Implement standard-of-care athletic training protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during formative years.
- Participate in a 12-month, full-time athletic training program, adapting to the seasonal needs of the assigned secondary school.
- Maintain accurate, compliant documentation regarding athlete injuries, treatments, and clearances.
- Contribute to the clinical and operational development of a regional sports medicine system.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
- Certification: Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer Certification in good standing. Current CPR/AED Certification required.
- Licensure: Valid license to practice as an Athletic Trainer in the State of New Mexico (or eligible for licensure).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a certified Athletic Trainer required. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a secondary school setting is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal communication and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
