The effective and successful Heating & Cooling Journeyperson at D/E/F Services Group, Ltd is committed to diversifying their craft by continuing to increase their knowledge of the trade to improve their skillset and efficiencies. The Heating & Cooling Mechanical Journeyperson is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing various HVAC, and Piping components including air conditioning, warm air, and refrigeration systems.

Essential Traits for Success:

Perform general labor and clean-up as requested, or as needed.

Assemble, install, test, and maintain warm air systems, including air conditioning, refrigeration, etc.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, measuring devices, etc.

Inspect heating & cooling systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, aerial lifts, drills, and hand tools.
- Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain HVAC systems, piping, or other related equipment.

Pull pipe or tubing, inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed or open areas, large tools, and be very comfortable working with your hands.

Receive and properly store job site materials for effective job site coordination.
Heating / Cooling Journeyperson’s Qualifications & Skills:
-
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and able to consistently follow written processes and procedures.

Excellent mathematical skills are preferred.

Ability to read and understand blueprints.

Ability to stand, lift, maneuver weights that may exceed 50lbs.

Strong verbal communication skills
Education, Licensing & Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Active CT Limited Warm Air, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Journeyperson (D2) License
-
Current OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.

Active Driver’s License with reliable transportation
