Job Summary
Arcways, a national custom stairway designer & manufacturer, with 60 years of industry leadership, is looking for highly skilled and motivated CNC / Robot Operators to join our gifted team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines and robotic equipment to produce high-quality wooden staircase components efficiently. Your expertise will ensure precision, safety, and productivity across various manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor our KOMO CNC machine and our KUKA Robot.
- Edit G-code and tooling dimensions.
- Read blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical measurements to ensure absolute precision.
- Build hardwood blanks to create unique stair treads, handrailing, and much more.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and robotic systems to prevent downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling materials, tools, and machinery in the manufacturing facility.
- Assist with building complex, custom-designed wooden stairways within our shop.
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling setup, fabrication processes, and materials handling.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robotic systems in an automated manufacturing setting.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for quality control inspections.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently on fabrication tasks.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
