Job Summary
Ponca Public Schools is seeking reliable Activity Bus Drivers to safely transport students to various athletic and educational activities. Activity Driver pay starts at $20.63/hour and includes sit time at events.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate activity buses, school buses, or transit vehicles according to all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle, conducting pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents.
- Communicate effectively using clear language; address questions or concerns professionally.
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or delays, adjusting routes as needed while keeping passengers informed of any updates.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation. We can facilitate this.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency stop procedures.
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to respond quickly to traffic changes while maintaining passenger safety and comfort.
Pay: $20.63 per hour
