General Contractor in heavy highway construction has an immediate need for a Lowboy driver. As part of the support team for our crews, drivers will be responsible for loading, hauling and delivering equipment and materials to and from our construction office yard and job sites in a timely and safe manner following all federal and state laws.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Experience in Lowboys with knowledge of loading and unloading equipment and materials to and from construction projects and location.
- Commitment to follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for themselves and coworkers, as well as the public.
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines and company policies.
- Must keep truck in a clean and orderly condition.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
- Follow directions of supervisor/dispatcher as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
- Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in Lowboy operations.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
- Must have a valid class A CDL Driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check and pass a motor vehicle records check with no DUIs within past five years.
- All driver positions are contingent upon passing a background check and clean driving record.
- Must be able to successfully pass random drug/alcohol testing (DOT).
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, as well as overtime as required.
- Good with directions.
