We’re now expanding to Denver, Colorado, and are looking for our first team member to help launch and build out this new branch. Compensation: Starting at $24-$26 per hour DOE
Schedule: Daytime shifts (typically 6am–2pm or similar), with flexibility. Must be able to work a minimum of 1 weekend day per week. Generally 35–45 hours/week initially, with potential for overtime.
Position Overview
We’re hiring a versatile, self-motivated individual to handle initial hauling routes while also supporting the launch of our Denver operations. You’ll drive our box truck, provide excellent service to clients, and pitch in on everything needed to build a successful branch — from handing out flyers to managing inventory and customer outreach initiatives. The right person will grow into overseeing daily operations, team leadership, and branch performance. This is an ideal role for someone who doesn’t mind hard physical work upfront but is excited about long-term career growth, leadership, and building something meaningful. You will have. the full support of our Austin operations team behind you, including established dispatch infrastructure, account management and client support, proven processes, and direct access to experienced leadership as you help build the Denver branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a 26-foot box truck with an electric lift gate to complete food waste removal services at client locations.
- Perform physical work: lifting, pushing, pulling, tipping heavy containers (using dollies, pallet jacks, and lift gates as needed), and checking for contamination.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate service documentation.
- Support branch growth: distribute marketing materials (flyers), help with warehouse inventory, assist with new client onboarding, and handle various account management needs.
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site.
- Communicate regularly with our Austin Dispatch and Operations teams via phone/Slack while working independently and solving problems as they arise.
- Help troubleshoot route issues, address client needs, and contribute ideas to improve operations.
- Take on additional tasks as needed to support a brand-new location (flexibility is key).
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License held for a minimum of 2 years, with no DWIs/DUIs in the last 3 years.
- 2+ years of verifiable box truck driving experience (required by auto insurance).
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and handle heavy items frequently and repetitively.
- 23+ years of age (required by auto insurance).
- Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
- Personal smartphone for navigation, calls, Slack messages, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with customers.
- Self-sufficiency, problem-solving ability, and willingness to adapt in a startup-like environment.
- Professional demeanor and reliability.
Preferred (but not required):
- Familiarity with Denver and the metro area.
- Experience in waste/recycling, logistics, sales, or team leadership.
- Interest in sustainability and building a new operation from the early stages.
