Job Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and ensure each project meets specific viability and build criteria, contract compliance, and internal performance standards.
- Perform site evaluation and inspection visits.
- Develop preliminary designs to support sales efforts.
- Participate in the engineering design process, submittals, and overseeing sub-contractor designs and submittals.
- Design and develop electrical systems for overhead cranes and hoisting equipment
- Create electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams
- Specify and troubleshoot: VFDs, motors and motor controls, and PLC and HMI systems
- Support crane modernization and retrofit projects
- Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, CMAA, ANSI, and NFPA standards
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, fabrication teams, and customers
- Provide technical support for service and installation teams
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and project records
Requirements Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and controls
- Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or similar drafting software
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in overhead crane, hoist, or material handling industries
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems
- Experience with VFD setup and motor control applications
- Field service or commissioning experienc
