Neighborhood Veterinary Centers (NVC) – Houston / Greater Houston
Houston, Texas & Greater Houston Area | Full-Time
Website: www.gonvc.com
At Neighborhood Veterinary Centers (NVC), we are looking for a Lead Veterinarian who wants to do meaningful work and make a lasting impact.
This is an opportunity for a doctor who is passionate about great medicine, team development, and serving a community well, someone who loves to lead, cares for their team, and cares for those they serve in the community.
- We are currently exploring a few opportunities in the Houston / Greater Houston area, but this is not a traditional job opening tied to a publicly posted hospital location.
- We are intentionally focused on finding the right doctor first and then identifying and moving forward on the right opportunity for that doctor to lead and potentially partner with us.
- If you have been looking for a place where you can lead with purpose, practice with autonomy, and have the support to do amazing things, we would love to connect.
Why NVC
We are family-owned and operated — not corporate.
That means:
- No investors
- No corporate board making the calls
- A more personal, relationship-driven approach to leadership
- The ability to move with intention and do what is right for the hospital, team, and community
- At NVC, we believe great doctors deserve the opportunity to lead well with the right support around them.
- Our Lead Veterinarians are supported by our NVC Leadership Team, including Marketing, Talent, Operations, and more, so they can focus on building strong teams, delivering excellent care, and creating something special.
This is more than a Lead DVM title. It is an opportunity to:
- Help shape the right opportunity with NVC
- Lead a hospital and help build a healthy, strong culture
- Practice with clinical autonomy
- Mentor and develop doctors and support team members
- Build trust with clients and serve the community in a meaningful way
- Partner with a leadership team that is accessible and supportive
- Explore a long-term path that may include partnership/equity potential for the right fit
- This role is ideal for a doctor who wants to combine clinical excellence with leadership, mentorship, and purpose.
