Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, offering product demos and recommendations to enhance their experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, cash register operations, and cash handling
- Manage cash drawers with precision, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly using retail math skills
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to increase sales and customer satisfaction
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to maintain an appealing store environment, supporting effective merchandising strategies
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, guiding shoppers through store layouts, and maintaining phone etiquette when assisting remotely
- Conduct retail store product knowledge sessions for customers and team members to promote product awareness and sales opportunities
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred, especially with POS systems and cashiering duties
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and clearly
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities to assist in team coordination when needed
- Knowledge of retail math, cash register operations, cash drawer handling, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions at all times
