Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have substantial litigation experience and the ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution or trial.
This role involves handling a full caseload, developing case strategy, and working directly with clients, staff, and firm leadership to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through resolution or trial
- Develop case strategy and evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Conduct depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations
- Negotiate settlements and resolve cases efficiently and effectively
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation and case development
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward
- Maintain compliance with deadlines, procedures, and court requirements
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar
- 5+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Ability to independently manage cases from start to finish
- Experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, and case resolution
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload effectively
- Professional judgment and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in personal injury or civil litigation
- Trial or courtroom experience
- Experience mentoring or working with support staff
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $120,000+ annually, commensurate with experience
