Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way.
Prepares food following intermediate to difficult recipes including entrees, soups, salads, and so on as directed by chef or supervisor. Specific work
performed may vary considerably among incumbents in this position.
Note: Specific work performed may vary considerably among incumbents in this position. This role will be expected to do all or several of the following tasks:
- Serve food in cafeteria line
- Cook intermediate to difficult recipes such as: prime rib, salmon, meatloaf, from scratch recipes, etc.
- Baking intermediate to difficult recipes such as: from scratch cakes, pie crust, etc.
- Waste control, rotate FIFO
- Ensures proper care of food goods and leftovers
Assist with other cafeteria duties including:
- Maintain clean working area
- Create requisitions
- Receive and store some orders
- May act as lead in some locations
- Other duties as assigned
