Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Director of ABA Services to provide clinical and operational leadership for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs across multiple locations and service settings.
This senior leadership position is responsible for the quality, growth, consistency, and sustainability of ABA services delivered in center-, home-, and community-based environments. The Regional Director serves as a primary clinical leader for the assigned region, establishing clinical standards, developing leaders, monitoring outcomes, strengthening quality assurance, and identifying opportunities to expand services.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who combines strong clinical expertise with leadership, program development, and operational management skills. This individual will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality ABA programs while maintaining ethical, evidence-based, and outcome-driven clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Clinical Leadership
- Provide strategic and clinical oversight of ABA services throughout the assigned region.
- Ensure ABA treatment and programming are ethical, evidence-based, individualized, and outcome-driven.
- Establish, implement, and maintain consistent clinical standards, protocols, and best practices across ABA programs and locations.
- Monitor clinical data, treatment outcomes, and performance trends to guide decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
- Provide advanced clinical consultation and oversight for complex cases, escalated clinical concerns, and crisis situations.
- Ensure services remain aligned with applicable regulatory requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
Clinical Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise, coach, and mentor ABA Coordinators, BCBAs, and other clinical leaders and staff.
- Establish and maintain appropriate supervision structures for BCBAs, BCaBAs, Behavior Technicians, ISS staff, and other ABA team members.
- Promote clinical consistency, professional accountability, and collaboration across teams and locations.
- Develop professional development strategies that strengthen clinical competency and leadership capabilities.
- Support workforce and succession planning within the ABA service line.
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Program Development & Growth
- Lead the development, expansion, and long-term sustainability of center-based and community-based ABA programs.
- Develop operational models, staffing plans, clinical frameworks, and service-delivery standards for new and existing programs.
- Support the development and expansion of innovative service lines, including early intervention and specialized center-based programming.
- Identify service gaps, community needs, and opportunities for program growth within assigned regions.
- Develop and execute strategic plans designed to increase access, utilization, and program sustainability.
- Lead or support pilot programs and innovative clinical initiatives aligned with organizational priorities.
- Evaluate program performance and recommend improvements or expansion opportunities based on clinical outcomes and operational data.
Operational & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with executive leadership to align regional ABA services with organizational mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with Operations, Intake, Human Resources, Finance, and other departments to support staffing, service utilization, and program sustainability.
- Guide implementation of organizational initiatives, clinical standards, and policy changes throughout the assigned region.
- Represent ABA services in leadership meetings and strategic planning discussions.
- Build productive relationships across departments to resolve operational challenges and strengthen service delivery.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Oversee clinical documentation standards and promote accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
- Monitor authorization management, service utilization, and other key clinical and operational indicators.
- Lead internal clinical audits and quality assurance initiatives.
- Develop and oversee corrective action plans when performance, documentation, or compliance concerns are identified.
- Establish systems to monitor program quality and ensure consistency across locations.
- Use data and performance metrics to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement.
Community & External Partnerships
- Represent ABA services in external partnerships, professional collaborations, and community initiatives.
- Develop relationships that support program growth, referrals, and increased access to ABA services.
- Serve as a senior clinical representative of the organization with community partners and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BCBA, preferably with progressively increasing clinical leadership responsibilities.
- Strong experience and/or knowledge working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience within ABA, behavioral health, developmental disability services, or a related environment.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based ABA practices, clinical supervision, treatment planning, and outcome measurement.
- Experience overseeing clinical quality, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong project and program management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to effectively use technology, data, and reporting tools in a professional environment.
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Experience providing leadership across multiple programs, locations, or geographic markets.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, launch, scale, or improve ABA programs and service lines.
- Experience with center-based ABA program development and/or early intervention programming.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to provide consultation on complex behavioral cases.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop BCBAs and other clinical leaders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret clinical and operational data and translate findings into action.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project-management capabilities.
- Ability to balance clinical quality, staff development, service utilization, and operational priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and implement new programs, policies, and clinical standards.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
