American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience, with night shift availability and every-other-weekend commitment.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities

Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Travel pairs are not permitted on the same shift within the same unit

Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration

Current certifications must be on file and copies provided for consideration

Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant nursing experience required

No alternate shift or schedule requests will be accommodated — posted night shift is firm

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day

Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a full year before returning as a traveler

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
