Job Description:
GBA Transport/SMT Bulk Transload is a family-owned, asset-based trucking company serving the Port of Savannah and surrounding areas. We operate a company fleet with company-owned chassis and specialize in import and export container drayage, overweight loads, pre-pulls, storage moves, and transload-related transportation.
We are looking for an experienced, dependable Class A CDL driver who values safety, communication, and consistent work.
Job Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver import and export containers through the Port of Savannah.
- Transport 20-foot and 40-foot containers within Savannah and surrounding areas.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, port, and company safety requirements.
- Securely connect and inspect containers and chassis before movement.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding container status, delays, and delivery issues.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and submit required documents and photographs.
- Report equipment defects, accidents, damages, or safety concerns immediately.
- Maintain a professional attitude when working with customers, port personnel, and other drivers.
- Keep the assigned truck clean and in good operating condition.
- $1,700+ weekly average gross (paid per dray)
- Home every day, we will get you home in time for dinner!
- Monday through Friday, opportunity for Saturday if desired
- Local Drayage to the Port of Savannah. Roundtrip 3 miles
2 years of Class A CDL truck driving experience required

Job Requirements:
- 2 years of Class A CDL truck driving experience required
- TWIC card and port access required
- Port and CDL-A Dump driving experience preferred but not required
- Safe driving record
Wage Range: 1300.00 - 2000.00 per week
