Job Overview
The Community Living Director provides leadership and oversight of residential programs that support individuals. This position ensures that services are person- centered, promote independence, and meet all regulatory, funding, and quality standards. The Director supervises program managers and support staff, oversees budgets, ensures compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborates with families, guardians, and community partners to promote inclusive living opportunities. Maintains program confidentiality and confidentiality of all individuals’ Protected Health Information used for treatment, payment, health care, etc. as set up by the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996. Essential Duties:
Provide overall management, leadership, and direction for community living programs. Ensure services align with the organization's mission and comply with all applicable regulations, CARF accreditation standards, and funding requirements. (Medicaid Waiver and DMH) Develop and implement policies and procedures, and quality assurance initiatives to promote best practices, continuous improvement, and growth of the department. Serve as a liaison with families, guardians, support coordinators, and community stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Participate in strategic planning and program development to expand community living opportunities and enhance service delivery. Perform other duties as assigned to support the mission and operations of the agency.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Executive Director in promoting the goals and objectives of the agency within the community and among other professionals.
2. Supervise and support program managers and direct support professionals, a minimum of 8 hours per week, to maintain high quality service delivery and staff engagement.
3. Provide a minimum of 10 hours per week of vacant coverage prior to over time being used.
4. Overseeing staffing, scheduling, and training to ensure adequate coverage and staff competency in person-centered practices.
5. Monitoring programs budgets and expenditures; ensure cost- effective operations while maintaining quality of care.
6. Participate in meetings and committees as directed, not limited to Chairing the Crisis Team and Nursing meeting.
7. Respond to incidents, emergencies, and client concerns in a timely and professional manner.
8. Prepare reports and perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
9. Communicate information necessary for administration of the Community Living Program to the Executive Director.
10. Abide by ICAN Personnel Policies as a condition of employment.
11. Coordinate and implement Quality Assurance strategies to ensure the integrity of the program.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Community Living Director is responsible for the supervision of Community RN, Program Managers, and Direct Support Staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major specialization (24 + credit hours) in the social or behavioral sciences, education, nursing, counseling, adjunctive therapies, vocational rehabilitation, or closely related areas. Five + years of experience serving individuals of a variety of ages and ability levels who have disabilities. Three + years administrative and supervisory experience in community-based service provision or similar position resulting in a thorough knowledge of Missouri Medicaid Waiver for DD guidelines and provider responsibilities. Ability to effectively supervise, train and motivate professional level and subordinate staff. Ability to assess problems and use good judgment to implement effective solutions. Possess professional level oral and written communication skills. Specialized knowledge of CARF accreditation standards and/or DMH quality outcomes.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
The Community Living Director must be an insurable driver with Class E license as determined by the company's underwriter. This person must be able to successfully complete and pass; Level 1 Medication Assistant (L1MA), CPR and First Aid Course, Abuse and Neglect Training, Positive Behavior Support, Missouri Quality Outcomes, Person Centered Planning, and 14 hours of employment curriculum training, approved by the Division of DD.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
