Duties
- Perform bridal makeup applications that highlight each client's unique features using advanced techniques.
- Style hair for special events, including updos, curls, braids, and sleek finishes tailored to client preferences.
- Apply eyelash extensions and execute character makeup or prosthetic effects for themed or theatrical looks.
- Provide professional consultations to understand client needs, offering personalized recommendations on makeup and hair styles.
- Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning tools, brushes, and workstations after each service.
- Manage time efficiently to accommodate multiple appointments while ensuring quality results.
- Upsell retail products such as cosmetics, hair care items, and accessories to enhance client satisfaction and sales goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of makeup and hair styling work.
- Expertise in bridal makeup application techniques and special event hair styling.
- Knowledge of color theory, color coordination, and current beauty trends.
- Skilled in eyelash extensions, body waxing, dermabrasion, and character or prosthetic makeup effects.
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations and team collaboration.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices within a cosmetology setting.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in cosmetology or related beauty fields preferred; ongoing training is a plus.
