Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA), an all-girls Catholic high school dedicated to educating young women for a life of faith, integrity, and truth, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Head JV Volleyball Coach. The ideal candidate will support the athletic and personal development of student-athletes while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and a positive team culture aligned with the mission and values of FSHA.

Lead and oversee all aspects of the JV volleyball program.

Plan and conduct practices focused on skill development, conditioning, teamwork, and game strategy.

Teach proper volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and sportsmanship.

Prepare athletes for competitive league and postseason play.

Collaborate with the Head Varsity Coach to ensure program consistency and athlete development.

Supervise and support student-athletes during practices, games, team events, and travel.

Promote academic success, leadership, and positive character development.

Maintain timely communication with athletes, parents, administration, and athletic staff.

Ensure compliance with CIF, league, school, and safety regulations.

Assist with summer training and camp activities beginning June 16, as needed.
Qualifications

Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience required, preferably at the high school or collegiate level.

Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategy.

Ability to motivate and mentor high school student-athletes.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for young women.

Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain prior to the season.

Completion of required coaching certifications prior to the season.

Ability to stand, walk, and actively participate during practices and games.

Ability to lift and move athletic equipment as needed.

Availability for evenings, weekends, practices, games, and team events.
