Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced store environment. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in creating a welcoming shopping experience and maintaining the store's visual appeal.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections
- Operate cash registers accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and refunds
- Upsell additional products to meet sales goals while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts
- Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and replenished regularly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
- Be proficient in cashiering duties, including processing payments via cash, credit, or debit cards
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone
- Support inventory management and stock rotation procedures
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales experience preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including assisting customers both in person and over the phone
- Experience in upselling products and promoting store specials effectively
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
