Overview
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Janitors and Maintenance Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning duties, basic maintenance tasks, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in custodial services and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal across various areas of the property
- Handle chemical agents safely while cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards
- Operate floor buffers and other basic floor care equipment to maintain polished surfaces
- Assist with light maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs, fixing minor repairs, and basic painting tasks
- Lift and move heavy cleaning supplies or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Conduct inspections to identify areas needing attention or repair, ensuring a safe environment for guests and staff
- Support industrial cleaning projects or residential cleaning tasks as needed to uphold cleanliness standards
Skills
- Experience in janitorial or custodial roles preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning, and industrial cleaning procedures
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly
- Strong manual handling skills with an emphasis on safe lifting practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary in a safe manner
- Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward facility upkeep
