Must have held a valid Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL), or higher, with a passenger endorsement for at least two (2) years.
30.38 - $37.94 (hiring range $30.38 - $31.92)
This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing including marijuana.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel (Coach Operator trainees and other preparing to obtain their CDL); indirectly supervises Coach Operator trainees; assist the Trainer with new employee orientation and on-board training; assist in conducting defensive driving, refresher and other training.
Responsible for appraising work performance of assigned employees, coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Assure that Link standards of safety, courtesy and reliability are met by daily monitoring of trainee staff for adherence to Link policy, rules and regulations.
Prepare and maintain periodic records and reports related to training and other information; maintain confidentiality of information as appropriate. Assist Trainer with data entry and maintenance of Track-It software program.
Monitor consistency of Coach Operator Trainee performance and adherence to agency policies; work with trainer to formulate recommendations for refresher training.
Assist with the development and maintenance of appropriate and consistent trainee evaluation and ride check system. Assist Trainer to ensure consistent supervision and ride checks regularly occur.
Assist Trainer with local, regional, state and national Roadeo organization.
Assist Trainer and Safety Officer with production of materials on the Internal Communication Network (ICN).
Assist Trainer with creation and delivery of materials during Quarterly Coach Operator meetings.
Work with Trainer, Operations Supervisors and Scheduler to arrange trainee schedules including drive time with senior Coach Operators.

Working Environment:
Duties are performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Work is typically performed at a desk, in a classroom setting, or sitting, riding a bus while observing Coach Operator Trainee performance. While outdoors, subject to adverse weather/traffic conditions, diesel fumes, and equipment noises.
Physical Demands:
Essential functions require the ability to see to read information and observe operator performance; hear and speak clearly and distinctly to receive and provide information over two-way radio and telephone; may sit for extended periods while riding in vehicles; use hands and arms to operate two-way radio, computer keyboard, transit vehicles, cell phone and hand tools; use legs and feet to operate vehicles and to walk; lift up to 50 pounds with assistance to lift up engine compartment on all types of buses; bend and squat to demonstrate Coach Operator skills; and work various shifts and overtime as required.
