Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and securely. Duties
- Safely operate a variety of trucks including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to transport goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge to operate specialized equipment safely.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the types of trucks operated.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with delivery driver responsibilities involving heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks or flatbeds.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles and understanding of vehicle mechanics.
- Experience loading and unloading cargo manually or using specialized equipment like forklifts or cranes.
- Knowledge of different truck types including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various working conditions.
