Position Overview
Rose City Detox is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team at our new ASAM Level 3.7-WM medically monitored inpatient withdrawal management facility in Portland, Oregon.
We are currently hiring for full-time and part-time positions with day and night shifts available. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals recovering from substance use disorders in a supportive residential detox environment.
Pay: $22.00 - 24.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
As a CNA in our detox program, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient safety and comfort during the withdrawal process. Primary duties include:
- Monitoring patients for withdrawal symptoms and reporting changes to nursing and clinical staff
- Taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, etc.)
- Conducting regular safety checks and maintaining continuous observation of the therapeutic milieu
- Assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and belongings inventory
- Performing cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, bathrooms, surfaces, and common areas per infection control standards.
- Providing compassionate support and engagement with patients while maintaining professional boundaries
- Documenting observations, patient checks, and incidents accurately and timely
- Assisting with daily living activities and helping maintain a calm, structured, and safe environment
Requirements
- Active Oregon CNA certification
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work in a fast-paced residential setting
- Ability to handle moderate physical demands (standing/walking for long periods, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally)
- Experience in detox, behavioral health, or residential care preferred but not required
- Must pass background check
