Key Responsibilities:
- Batch concrete to customer specifications
- Successfully meet and adjust to the production schedule
- Communicate with drivers and plant personnel to facilitate smooth operation
- Manage yard and driver personnel
- Preventative maintenance on plant and heavy equipment, including greasing and oil changes
- Inspect plant and heavy equipment for mechanical soundness at the start of the shift
- Maintain yard equipment and facility in general
- Arrive on time to scheduled shift
- Check the schedule for color/fiber/batch details for current and next day
- Dispatch trucks
- Manage inventory
- Keep supervisor up to date with issues
- Ability to adjust schedule depending on situations that arise
- Coordinate with the shop for truck service
- Order materials for the next day
- Uphold and adhere to safety policies
Key Competencies (knowledge, skills, characteristics):
- In-depth knowledge of Command Batch
- Basic mechanical competency and ability to troubleshoot various plant repairs, including electrical, conveyor belts, and airline patches
- Computer literacy
- Supervisory skills
- Ability to work in extreme heat
- Capability to operate a forklift, boom lift, loader, etc.

- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of ready-mix trucks
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
