Job Description:
Job Title: Project Tester
Location: Brooklyn, OH 44144 (100% onsite)
Duration: 5 Month- Contract
Shift: 5 days a week
Job Summary:
The Project Tester is responsible for testing, validating, and supporting payment and deposit processing applications according to quality, operational, and compliance standards. This role requires the ability to analyze business requirements, execute test plans, identify and document defects, troubleshoot system issues, and support Lockbox applications. The position involves working across multiple projects and applications, maintaining productivity, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (2+ years in operational/support roles)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven problem-solving skills with analytical thinking
- Familiarity with data tools like Excel, Access, and basic SQL concepts
- Ability to manage change and adapt quickly
- Experience creating and executing test scripts for application testing
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Jira and managing large data sets
- Technical knowledge of Windows systems and software
- Background in mainframe, web, or distributed systems
- Prior involvement in process improvement projects and performance support
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 1-2 years of operational analyst experience preferred
- Related experience in support or testing roles within financial or payment systems highly advantageous
- Familiarity with databases and data visualization tools
