Step into an impactful role supporting students at an elementary level, providing vital Speech-Language Pathology services from the start of the school year through winter break. You’ll play a key part in helping approximately 60 students reach their communication goals, covering a maternity leave in an elementary school setting that values teamwork and student success.
You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and school staff to deliver thoughtfully tailored, evidence-based therapy. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license in New York (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting
- Proficiency in teletherapy services welcomed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to a variety of student needs and grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school teams
- Deliver both in-person and teletherapy sessions as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and student progress reports
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Participate in meetings and professional development as scheduled
