We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Associate to provide exceptional care for pets in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to handle various pet needs, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness while their owners are away. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to animal welfare.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets by cleaning litter boxes, cages, kennels, and play-yards.
- Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.
- Ensure that all pet supplies are stocked and organized for efficient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in pet care is preferred.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques is essential.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with other staff members.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively while caring for multiple pets.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care is a must.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to work outside
- Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Must have reliable transportation.
