GenTek Performance is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Automotive Builder/Fabricator who takes pride in producing high-quality work and getting the job done right the first time. If you're passionate about high-performance vehicles, classic cars, custom fabrication, and building exceptional vehicles from the ground up, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
- Custom MIG & TIG fabrication and welding (required) including roll cages, chassis work, tubular front ends, custom bracketry.
- Classic car restoration and modernization
- Reading instructions, mock-up work, measuring, fitting, and final assembly
- Performance upgrades and aftermarket installations
- Engine builds and complete engine swaps
- Camshaft, cylinder head, and valvetrain installations
- Suspension, steering, and brake system upgrades
We're Looking for Someone Who
- Has professional automotive repair and fabrication experience
- Is proficient in both MIG and TIG welding
- Ability to weld stainless steel, titanium and aluminum
- Owns a complete set of professional automotive tools
- Can independently manage projects from start to finish while meeting deadlines
- Produces high-quality workmanship with attention to detail
- Takes pride in organization and maintaining a clean work area
- Follows company procedures and documents work thoroughly
- Has a positive attitude and works well with others
- Is dependable, motivated, and eager to build exceptional vehicles
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of Performance or racing automotive experience
- Minimum 5 years fabrication and metal finishing experience
- Ability to weld with both Mig and Tig welders. Ability to weld stainless steel and titanium.
- Experience working on custom or classic vehicles in a professional setting
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
