Job Description Overview: Material Handler I
I. Position Mission
The Material Handler I is responsible for the safe and accurate receipt, storage, movement and delivery inbound/outbound of materials while maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Circle Graphics is a high volume manufacturing environment and the position will work closely with production personnel to make timely material deliveries to the floor. In addition, the Material Handler will be expected to inspect and receive inbound shipments as well as dock scan and load outbound shipments.

Working Environment and Physical Demands
High volume manufacturing environment.
Warehouse work in a sometimes cold or hot facility.
Requires sitting, bending, stooping and stretching.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, hand-held scanner, warehouse machinery and other office equipment.
Requires a normal range of hearing and vision to communicate appropriate information, respond to emails and answer the phone.
Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read numbers, labels, and computer terminals.
Standing or walking 80% of the time.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
FLSA Status : This is a full-time position requiring consistent dependable attendance at the workplace during assigned work hours (Team / Shift).
III. Tasks description – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
GENERAL DUTIES: 75% of position responsibility
- Responsible for the physical receipt of material into the warehouse
- Responsible for dock scanning, labeling and loading outbound shipments
- Complete and accurate labeling of all material in the warehouse
- Rotate product to allow for FIFO usage
- Manages all rack and warehouse storage of material
- Receipt and organization of materials into a Parts Cage as required
- Responsible for quickly responding to requests from production to supply material to the floor
- Housekeeping: Sweep, clean and organize the warehouse, ink rooms, and other areas that house materials within the facility
- Assist with the processing of various types of inbound and outbound shipments
- Secure lifting attachments to forklifts in order to safely move material to the production floor
COMMUNICATION/ADMINISTRATION: 25% of position responsibility
- Maintain forklift checklist on a daily shift basis
- Assist’s in other areas of the warehouse and production as required
- Provide information to assist in the completion of health & safety incident reports

V. Skills, Intellectual Demands and Job Requirements:EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Forklift certification will be required (Circle Graphics will provide the appropriate training)

- Previous warehouse and forklift experience preferred
- Proven ability to act independently, exercise judgment and influence people to take appropriate actions.
