Job Summary
The Facilities Site Superintendent will oversee all maintenance operations for our client's large production facility in Eddyville, IA. This role is responsible for managing a diverse team performing services such as mechanical maintenance, electrical work, HVAC, sanitation, welding, and other critical facility operations. The superintendent ensures safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all tasks while maintaining strong relationships with both employees and the client.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate employees performing industrial equipment maintenance and facility services.
- Prepare work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor work quality and productivity.
- Act as liaison between Account Manager, supervisors, planners, and client departments.
- Ensure compliance with company and client policies, safety standards, and applicable codes.
- Promote C&W Services internally and externally; mentor team members and foster professional development.
- Lead root cause analyses (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee administrative duties: timekeeping, job planning, work order completion, material procurement, and maintenance system updates (ASAP).
- Coordinate scheduling of work, shutdowns, and vendor support for plant and maintenance needs.
- Maintain positive customer and employee relations; communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Procure and schedule training seminars for team development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Account Manager.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and wear a respirator when required.
- Work in conditions involving noise, heat/cold, humidity, and exposure to chemicals and moving machinery.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 10 years of industrial mechanical experience.
- Proven supervisory experience in a maintenance or facilities environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, welding, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to plan, organize, and lead a multi-skilled team in a fast-paced industrial setting.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Background check and drug screen required.
Preferred:
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., ASAP).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in industrial environments.
- Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
