We're located in the highly visible, high-traffic Howard University/Shaw corridor in Northwest DC, offering excellent exposure and a steady flow of potential clients. We are seeking a licensed Barber/Stylist who embodies our commitment to precision, personal attention, and elevated hospitality. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional grooming services in a space designed for the weekday professional and weekend explorer alike, while cultivating genuine relationships with an upscale clientele of professionals, creatives, and tastemakers.

Core Responsibilities
Expert Grooming & Exceptional Client Experience
- Deliver precision haircuts, fades, beard trims, hot towel straight razor shaves, and grooming services using both classic and modern techniques.
- Provide personalized consultations to recommend styles that complement each client's facial features, lifestyle, and maintenance preferences.
- Educate clients on at-home grooming, styling techniques, and premium product recommendations.
- Build lasting client relationships through exceptional service, refined hospitality, and a consistently elevated grooming experience.
Professional Excellence, Growth & Brand Support
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation while adhering to all D.C. Board of Barber and Cosmetology sanitation and safety standards.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture committed to professionalism, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current on industry trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education and advanced training opportunities.
- Benefit from extensive shop-supported marketing, including television, digital advertising, social media campaigns, and partnerships with local businesses to help drive new client growth
Required Qualifications
- A valid state barber or cosmetology license
- 2+ years of professional experience in a licensed barbershop or upscale grooming setting preferred
- Expertise in precision clipper cutting, fades, seamless blends, beard grooming, and lineups; straight razor shaving experience is a plus.
- Strong scissor-cutting skills, including precision cuts, layering, and texturizing for a variety of hair types and styles.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong understanding of hair and scalp care across diverse hair types
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and commitment to hospitality
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Pay: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
