AccessAbility is looking for a Part Time - NON CDL Driver (large van or mobility bus) to work up to 29 hours / week. the hours worked will depend on the needs of the business.
Afternoon routes: 1:15-3:30 PM, possibly 4PM depending on route.
Morning Routes 6:15-8:30 AM
Monday - Friday, No Weekends!

Position Summary:
The Driver/Transportation team member is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for persons served, customers, and organizational operations. This position performs scheduled morning and afternoon transportation routes, deliveries and pick-ups, courier services, material pick-ups, and other transportation-related duties. The position is also responsible for the safe operation and inspection of assigned vehicles and may assist with warehouse, facility, and cleanout projects as needed.
The person hired needs to have high safety awareness, patience and a love for people in order to transport persons served. Drivers will be entrusted to provide high standards of customer service and professionalism and comply with all state and federal rules and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities
- Drive assigned morning or afternoon transportation routes for persons served in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Follow delivery and pick-up schedules as assigned by the Fleet Manager/Scheduler.
- Safely transport persons served to and from designated locations, outings, activities, and other scheduled destinations.
- Ensure all persons served are safely accounted for before departing each location.
- Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete, accurate, and delivered appropriately.
- Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Safely and lawfully operate dock trucks, cargo vans, and 12-and-2 buses as assigned.
- Complete end-of-day drop-offs for persons served as assigned.
- Complete courier deliveries in accordance with established schedules.
- Complete weekly material order pick-ups.
- Transport persons served to outings and activities using a cargo van or 12-and-2 bus.
- Perform small cleanouts and assist the Facility Manager with occasional larger cleanout projects.
- Complete required daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate documentation.
- Promptly report vehicle concerns, damage, maintenance needs, or safety issues to the Facility Manager.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles.
- Follow all organizational transportation policies, safety procedures, and applicable traffic laws.
- Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with persons served, customers, coworkers, and community partners.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and effectively manage time.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must possess a current, valid driver's license with a good driving record and no significant driving incidents, accidents, or DWI/DUI violations within the past three years.
- Must obtain and maintain required DOT medical certification.
- Must be able to safely operate organizational vehicles, including cargo vans, dock trucks, and 12-and-2 buses, as assigned.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and push/pull up to 90 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must successfully complete required pre-placement DHS background screening and physical, including drug screening.
- Must demonstrate reliability and punctuality due to the time-sensitive nature of morning and afternoon transportation routes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of truck-driving experience preferred.
- Previous courier or delivery-driving experience is a plus.
- Previous experience transporting persons served or working in a human services environment is helpful.
