What will I do as a Maintenance Technician for The Wesley Community?
The Maintenance Tech 2 position at The Wesley Health Care Center is a skilled, mid-level role focused on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, medical equipment assembly and repair and structural upkeep. Qualifications for this position blend trade proficiency with specialized healthcare compliance knowledge, performing preventive maintenance on boilers, central A/C units, generators, and compressors. Basic carpentry and assembly, repair and delivery of medical equipment and beds. Ensuring safe, reliable facility operations in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing our facility.
Key Duties include Performing preventive maintenance on boilers, central A/C units, generators, and compressors. Repairing specialized healthcare equipment such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, and resident lifts. Conducting routine building upkeep including drywall, painting, and door/lock repairs.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational/trade school certification (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 2–5 years of hands-on experience in commercial, institutional, or residential building maintenance.
Trade Skills: Intermediate working knowledge in HVAC systems, plumbing repairs, electrical troubleshooting, basic carpentry and assembly, repair and delivery of medical equipment and beds.
Availability: Must be available for on-call rotation (including nights/weekends) for emergency equipment troubleshooting.
Conducting routine building upkeep including drywall, painting, and door/lock repairs.
