As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Screening in Barrington, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.

Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution location, including docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter lines, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.

Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, and delivery personnel, helping to support orderly operations and proper visitor and vehicle processing.

Observe site conditions related to cargo movement, vehicle traffic, and facility operations, and report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and/or procedural violations according to post instructions.
Minimum Requirements:

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
-
X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
