POSITION: Service Manager Veselka Williamsburg
DESCRIPTION:
Veselka is hiring for the Service Manager position to operate and oversee our existing location in Williamsburg. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, ambitious and seeking opportunities to grow their career. At Veselka, Managers are knowledgeable and friendly, operate in a quick and efficient manner with a passion to maintain their restaurant and accommodate the needs of its guests.
The position’s core functions will involve overseeing the operation, ensuring the quality of products and services delivered to guests, as well as maintaining high standards set across the company.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensuring food and service always meet or exceed company standards of excellence;
- Training all restaurant staff and overseeing their performance;
- Streamlining the restaurant processes to improve guest experience;
- Assisting the General Manager to support revenue and costing initiatives by helping to track labor hours and cost of goods figures;
- Enforcing food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety;
- Completing necessary paperwork, such as sales, inventory and attendance reports;
- Setting the expectation for crew members in maximizing productivity, maintaining cleanliness and food quality while providing accurate speedy service;
- Making sure that all operational duties and tasks are completed in a timely manner;
- Overseeing hourly employee staff and ensuring standards are met and team is following procedures relating to uniform, food handling, cleanliness and customer service;
- Assisting with filling out the daily ordering sheet from Veselka Commissary by the cutoff time and completing the inventory check on deliveries to ensure what was ordered is received;
- Assisting with ordering to make sure that necessary inventory is available;
- Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately;
- Moving products to/from storage facility when needed;
- Coordinating delivery and event/holiday schedules with Veselka management to ensure appropriate staffing is available ahead of time;
- Demonstrating leadership skills and setting the example to all other employees.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once;
- Ability to use and update 7Shifts scheduling software and Toast back end for sales and menu management;
- Strong communication skills working in a team environment;
- Accountability for order accuracy and timeliness;
- NYC DOH food handler’s permit card;
- Experience in the hospitality industry with a background in food service;
- Ability to plan ahead for future business demand.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
