Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hillcrest Millard in Omaha, NE.

What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will help maintain the building, equipment, grounds, and resident spaces to support a safe and welcoming community.
You will:
- Complete routine maintenance, repairs, and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with general building upkeep, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and equipment repairs.
- Respond to maintenance needs from residents, families, team members, and leadership.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks to help keep equipment and building systems working properly.
- Help maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, service areas, and exterior spaces.
- Identify safety concerns and report or resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with room turns, furniture moves, setup needs, and community projects as needed.
- Use tools, equipment, and supplies safely and appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Build positive, professional relationships with residents, families, visitors, vendors, and team members.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, practical, and comfortable handling a variety of maintenance needs in a senior living or healthcare environment.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous maintenance, facilities, apartment, senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or building-repair experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to jump in where needed.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while staying organized and professional.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- A calm, flexible, and respectful approach when working around residents and families.
- Comfort using tools, equipment, technology, and maintenance resources efficiently.
Education & Credentials
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Maintenance, facilities, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related training preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.

- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds.

- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to utilize technology, tools, and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
