Additional Pay/Ability to Earn Additional Pay:
- $150/month Availability Stipend
- Pay based on performance: up to $8,000.00 per year
- Additional pay of $100.00 per pay period (2 times per month) for: Fluent bi-lingual skills in Spanish & English, and other languages, as needed to support families

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Personal (lived) experience as a recipient of social or community services (mental health counseling, juvenile justice, child welfare, etc.) and a willingness to share personal stories with youth and families.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Age 21 or older.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record.
- Availability to work flexible hours (some evenings, nights, weekends).
- In accordance with the Washington State Mandate, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by first day of employment.
DESCRIPTION:
Certified Peer Counselors (Youth Partners) are individuals with personal history as a youth/child who has been a recipient of behavioral health, child welfare, complex medical coordination, or juvenile justice services (within the last ten years) who use that personal experience in building support with families. Working as a member of a team, the Youth Partner helps a youth voice their own perspective and assure the use of that perspective in treatment planning. This position helps youth, parents, and families achieve confidence in their abilities to team on a recovery journey and maintain hope for their success after behavioral health services have been completed.
